Summer Game Fest The Rock

The Rock Appeared Shirtless at Summer Game Fest to Talk About Black Adam

The Summer Game Fest The Rock appearance has been getting a lot of attention for featuring a shirtless Dwayne Johnson for about four minutes. He talked about him being The Foundation in Fortnite as well as his role in the upcoming Black Adam movie, which is a surprise given that this is a presentation about games, but any way to work The Rock into a show is a good idea. And apparently, he was also there to make everyone thirsty… for a ZOA sugar-free energy drink of course.

Speaking alone from a spacious gym with a “Project Rock” banner in the background, The Rock was appreciative of all the support he’s received for being The Foundation.

“And the most electrifying surprise in gaming that happened: You know me as “The Foundation” and I gotta tell you guys, number one, thank you so much for the crazy support of me becoming. But also I got to say that I had such a pleasure working with Epic Games and the teams over there. We cannot wait to tell you what we have in store for the future.”

The Rock had confirmed his appearance at the event earlier in a tweet, so it wasn’t too much of a surprise that he would be talking about Fortnite and the Black Adam movie. But he did take the time to hold up a can of ZOA Energy Drink, for which Dwayne Johnson is a Chief Energy Officer. So it’s no wonder that he confidently sold it as having “Big Drink Energy.” And who are we to say otherwise?

In other news, the twin-stick shooter Alien Dark Descent was revealed at Summer Game Fest with brief gameplay footage and a release date window, and five or more Xbox-exclusive games including Starfield are slated to launch before April 2023.
