Halo Infinite cat ears

Halo Infinite’s Cat Spartan is confusing players

There’s a Halo Infinite cat ears Spartan running around the free multiplayer side of the latest Halo game and it’s both amusing and confusing players. The Halo Infinite cat armor skin belongs to a bot nicknamed Meowlnir, who can randomly show up in any match, sporting regular blue Spartan armor but with cute little feline ears on the helmet. However, is there actually a way to unlock this Halo Infinite Meowlnir skin just yet?

How to get the Halo Infinite cat ears skin

Unfortunately, the Meowlnir cat ears accessory, helmet, or Spartan skin is not currently available to unlock in Halo Infinite and only belongs to this random NPC bot that occasionally invades matches. Although, it is likely that it will become available at some point later in the Season One Battle Pass. Customization options for Halo Infinite’s Spartan armor were datamined a couple of months ago, which included the cat ears helmet, but there’s still no word yet as to exactly when these options or items will be actually made available.

While players of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer have obviously been delighted at discovering a unique blue cat Spartan running around, that delight has also been mixed with confusion and frustration at the inability to actually unlock items like the cat ear helmet for themselves. While player customization was confirmed earlier this year the options right now are basic at best, so it’s annoying for players to see such a fun skin they can’t get — especially with criticisms over Battle Pass progression and how even the Tenrai armor isn’t available to most players right now, despite the event going on for exactly that.

One of the Bots is named Meowlnir and he has Cat Ears. god help us all.

There are certainly ways to level up XP in the Battle Pass quickly but it’s certainly proving frustrating for players, especially when Halo Infinite’s upcoming DLC has a lot to offer. Maybe Microsoft and 343 Industries will reveal more when Halo Infinite launches properly next week on December 8.
