The Pokemon Unite Halloween Festival update is out now. The Pokemon-themed MOBA is celebrating spooky season with a range of new skins and items to purchase as part of its new 1.2.1.8 update. On top of that, there’s a new Pokemon in the game, with Greedent joining the battle. As such, today’s Pokemon Unite update is the largest since the game launched back in July, providing a robust amount of new content for players to get their hands on across Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. Here’s what the new Pokemon Unite Halloween Festival update introduces:
- New Pokemon added: Greedent
- Halloween is here! Mer Stadium has a new pumpkin-infested look. You can pick up pumpkins, and throw them at enemies.
- Earn Pumpkins as a limited-time currency, which can be exchanged for Halloween-themed decals and accessories
- Tweaks to Pokemon balance:
- Pikachu – attack damage increased
- Slowbro – HP restoration increased, attack cooldown reduced
- Gengar – Stat increase
- Blastoise – Nerfs Hydro Pump move. Reduces Water Sprout cool down
- Venusaur – user impact of Giga Drain reduced. HP restoration reduced. Solar Beam damage increased
- Lucario – attack stats reduced, bug fixes to Unite move Aura Cannon
- Garchomp – basic attack speed increased, Dragon Rush damage increased
- Zeraora – bug fixes to Wild Charge+ move
- Cramorant – bug fixes to Dive
- Talonflame – bug fixes to Gale Wings
- Absol – bug fixes to Sucker Punch
- There is a decrease to the Aeos Points granted when you defeat Zapdos in Remoat Stadium
- There is also a decrease to the amount of Exp. Points gained for defeating Dreadnaw
- Rotom’s Attack and HP stats increased
As you can see, there are an awful lot of tweaks and changes here. However, the most exciting additions are the Halloween promotions. There are tons of new items to purchase, from a pumpkin mask with Pikachu’s face to some spooky trick-or-treater fashion items. With Greedent newly available,a too, it’s an exciting time to play Pokemon Unite.
