Some of the most exciting news out of today’s PlayStation Showcase is the reveal of the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic remake. The RPG was first released by Bioware way back in 2003, and now looks set to make its way to current hardware. As the trailer debuted at the PlayStation Showcase, it has Star Wars fans asking one thing: will the Knights of the Old Republic Remake be a PS5 exclusive?
Is the Knights of the Old Republic Remake only on PS5?
At this early stage, yes – it does seem like the Knights of the Old Republic Remake is going to be a PS5 exclusive release.
That’s because in the reveal trailer from today’s PlayStation Showcase, it specified that the game had been rebuild for PS5. The trailer makes no mention of the PS4, or Xbox consoles and PC, and as such, we can only assume that it’ll be a PS5 exclusive.

However, this is the very early stages of the game’s public presence. It was announced today without any rumors or fanfare, making it a very well-kept secret. As such, it could be announced for more platforms down the line. At the moment though, the PS5 is the only confirmed platform. This is furthered by the logos at the end of the trailer. The PlayStation logo sits between the Aspyr, the developer, and Lucasfilm Games, who own the Star Wars rights. With PlayStation featuring so prominently there, it’s logical to assume the game is a PS5 exclusive.
Of course, anything could change in the months leading up to the remake’s release. It’s currently without a release window, so we don’t know when to expect it. However, there’s bound to be more details in the coming months. That’s because this announcement has already been warmly received by fans.
