Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone have a lot of things in common, and that includes bugs and glitches. When the game’s servers are under extreme load, with more players than anticipated trying to get into the game, it’s normal for users to be placed into a Server Queue. Players are notified and told “Servers are experiencing high volume. You have been entered into the queue and will be placed into game shortly.” This message is accompanied by a countdown giving an estimated wait time for the game to start. However, this Server Queue message can sometimes get stuck and never go away. Here’s how to fix it on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
How to fix the Call of Duty “Server Queue” stuck error
To fix the Call of Duty “Server Queue” stuck error, players will want to completely exit the game and then start it back up again.
While users might be worried about losing their place in the queue, GameRevolution has successfully entered the game multiple times by simply rebooting. The “Server Queue” message doesn’t appear again and the main menu appears without issue.
If the above fix doesn’t work, users are encouraged to check Call of Duty social channels to see if there is any scheduled downtime for maintenance or an acknowledgment of unforeseen issues.
Be sure to get caught up on the GameRevolution Black Ops Cold War review which goes in-depth on all three aspects of the game: campaign, multiplayer, and zombies.
It was a disappointing first day of the year for many Call of Duty players, as Black Ops Cold War servers went down for multiple hours.
Those feeling like they are ranking up slowly in Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War aren’t alone. Unless double XP is active, progression can seem super slow.
