Skip Class To Enroll In Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag 101

Ubisoft is dropping Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on an island in the middle of the Carribean at the end of this month and this new video from the developers gives you pretty much everything you need to know about pirate life.

In fact, it almost gives you too much information! What secrets still lay hidden in Carribean waters murky with Templar and Assassin blood? What does the modern day component mean for the overall Assassin's Creed narrative? We'll find out soon!

Recently, Nick and I got hands-on with the PlayStation 4 version and the realistic water movement and effects were stunning. Splashes and thunder storms looked incredibly powerful and it makes gameplay really convincing. Multiplayer also runs super smooth with a high frame rate.

Bottom line, if you're not getting a next-gen console this fall, Black Flag will still be one of this generation's best-looking games thanks to years of work invested into the Anvil Engine at Ubisoft. PC gamers will get the high-tech boost too as they've gotten with previous AC games.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be out October 29th on current-gen, launch day on next-gen.
