Xbox One Big Gaming Weekend August 2020

Xbox One Big Gaming Weekend lets you play Modern Warfare free

Get ready to play Modern Warfare free on your console. The Xbox One Big Gaming Weekend is arriving tomorrow, and it’s bringing a bunch of popular games like Call of Duty: Modern WarfareBorderlands 3, and more to Xbox One gamers along with free Xbox Live Gold access.

“We’re still deep in Summer Mode, and with that we want to offer a Big Gaming Weekend to all gaming fans,” announced the news post on the Xbox website. “For the next four days, everyone plays. Free.”

Xbox One Big Gaming weekend free games

What are the Xbox One Big Gaming weekend free games?

As the above list notes, all of these games will be available to play for free on Xbox One. If you don’t have a current Xbox Live Gold subscription, worry not — you’re getting access to that for free, too.

There’s a little something for everyone in this free weekend; MMO fans have access to Black Desert and Elder Scrolls, shooter fans get Modern Warfare and Borderlands, and fighting game fans can enjoy themselves in Dragon Ball FighterZ and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. If you don’t have friends to play with, I’d heartily recommend Subnautica as a fine game to binge by yourself over a weekend.

This free weekend will run from August 6–10, 2020; you can find out which games are available to you (and when) on the Xbox One Big Gaming weekend landing page.
