Bravely Default Prepares America For Fairy Fantasy

Square Enix is readying Bravely Default for release in North America and have teased us with the first trailer for the localized game, albeit without the Flying Fairy subtitle.

The full Japanese title was Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, but I think it's smart of Square Enix to focus on the gameplay and less on the mythical fairy thing in America. The trailer above shows off Tiz, Agne (who'll totally give you Aerith vibes), Ringabel (whose name is as unfortunate as his hair style), and Edea (a determined swordstress).

I'm really impressed by the voice work and visual style in this game. With moves torn from the Final Fantasy series, you're forgiven for calling this one Fairy Fantasy, but we'll definitely be keeping an eye on it while we wait for its early 2014 release. Don't forget to check out the intro trailer here.
