Rumor: Project xCloud PC streaming will face off against GeForce Now

We may well be hearing about Project xCloud PC streaming in the very near future if a new batch of rumors pans out. If these are correct, it would mean that Microsoft would be going head-to-head against Nvidia’s GeForce Now service.

WCCFTech highlights a video from journalist Brad Sams where he talks about this potential PC streaming scheme that could make Project xCloud an even more appealing product than it already is.

“[According] to people familiar with the company’s plans and things that they’re working on, Microsoft is working on a feature that will allow you to stream your PC games across xCloud,” Mr. Sams stated in his video. “Now, I don’t have all the details yet, but from what I have heard, it sounds like this is gonna be like a GeForce Now competitor[.]”

If this rumor proves true, we may be seeing the competition for cloud gaming heating up in the next generation.
