Sony Ending PlayStation Home Services In Japan And Asia

Sony has announced today that it's PS3 avatar-based social community PlayStation Home, will cease in September in Japan, and March 2014 in Asian territories.

The announcement appears to be for SCEJA countries only, as the press release specifies that the service will continue normally in North America and Europe.

This could signify and end to the service globally could be imminant, seeing as PlayStation Home never really took off the way anyone expected. Also, there's been no word, despite us even asking directly, if PlayStation Home would eventually appear on the PS4.

Would you miss PlayStation Home if it were gone? And did you ever really use it in the first place?
