Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind DLC release date

Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind DLC release date revealed for ‘large-scale expansion’

A “large-scale expansion” for Kingdom Hearts 3 has been announced — the Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind DLC release date has been revealed during the final State of Play presentation for the year. Let’s get right to it — you’ll be able to pick up Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind on January 23, 2020.

The Re Mind DLC is promising an awful lot of things for longtime players of the game, and that’s not all that’s coming — a free update will also be on the way for players who decide not to purchase the DLC right away.

The trailer announcing the Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind DLC release date shows off a few cinematics from this upcoming  DLC along with some action-packed battles. The theme of it seems pretty dark overall, to boot, with our hero being warned that he’ll “vanish from this world” and will be unable to return home. From what I can tell, it seems like it’s going to be themed largely around dreams and will seek to answer one of the big questions raised at the end of Kingdom Hearts 3.

Here’s what you’ll get if you decide to pick up Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind:

  • Additional story: Re Mind
  • Limitcut episode and 13 boss battles
  • Secret episode and boss battle
  • Data greeting feature
  • Slideshow feature
  • Premium menu
  • (Diverse difficulty settings and gameplay challenges)

There’s also a special edition you can grab which includes a concert video featuring 19 tracks. On top of that, some details about the free DLC coming for Version 1.07 has popped up:

  • Main story update
  • New abilities added
  • Keyblades Oathkeeper and Oblivion + new formchanges added
  • (In-game requirements in KINGDOM HEARTS III to acquire Keyblades)
  • Sharing features expanded

The Kingdom Hearts Re Mind DLC release date is January 23, 2020. You can’t pre-order the game just yet, so you should check out the Kingdom Hearts 3 PlayStation Store page later; they should start being made available for purchase around 11:00 AM Eastern time on December 10, 2019, according to this tweet from the game’s official account. You can see some of the new content in motion by watching the DLC’s trailer below.
