There’s no better way of showing your prowess with a weapon at a glance than to kit it out with the best possible camo or skin. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) Gold camo makes a return, there’s a new version of Platinum, and also a new pinnacle in the Damascus mastery skins. If you’re dying to show off your dope duds online, here’s what you need to do in order to unlock the Modern Warfare Damascus camo.
How do you get Damascus camo in Modern Warfare?
There’s a long road ahead for players that want to unlock the Damascus mastery camo in Modern Warfare. Through using specific weapons in gameplay, and also aiming to complete challenges, players will unlock various forms of camo that are split across ten different categories. Each of the ten categories has ten skins inside, so after steadily progressing through you’ll end up with 100 different camo patterns on any given weapon.

As a result, you’ll automatically earn the Gold skin for that firearm. To upgrade gold to Platinum, you’ll need to repeat the process of unlocking Gold for every weapon in a class. Earning Gold on all shotguns, for example, will upgrade them all to Platinum. In order to then trade up to Damascus, every single weapon across every single class must be upgraded to Platinum status.
In the simplest terms possible:
- Pick and use any weapon until you unlock all 100 forms of camo
- There are ten skins across the following ten categories for each gun:
- Spray Pain
- Woodland
- Digital
- Urban
- Splinter
- Topo
- Tiger
- Stripes
- Reptile
- Skulls
- Collecting them all will unlock a Gold skin for the relevant weapon
- Switch to a new firearm and repeat this process to earn another Gold skin
- Earning all Gold skins within a weapon class (assault rifle, shotgun, etc.) will upgrade that class to Platinum
- Get all weapon classes to Platinum and you’ll unlock Damascus for every single weapon
