GTA V World Premiere Gameplay Video: Watch It Here

See up above? That's Grand Theft Auto V's first gameplay video, giving eager aspiring criminals like me the first glimpse at exactly how Rockstar's next open-world epic will play.

The slow cycle of GTA V news started over two years ago when casting rumors suggested Gilbert Gottfried and Christopher Walken would lend their unique voices to the game, and continued up to the game's Reveal Trailer. That trailer confirmed Los Santos as the primary setting and introduced us to the world at large. Screenshots and a last-gasp delays made the wait even more unbearable. A massive GameInformer piece spilled the beans on GTA V's trio of protagonists while a second Story focused trailer put a spotlight on Michael (and Trevor and Franklin).

Still, fans have got that motley trio of thugs and psychopaths to thank for the most footage we've received yet. Rockstar released character-specific trailers for Michael (high-end living and downtown Los Santos), Trevor (oddities on the outskirts of Blaine County), and Franklin (growing beyond Grove Street).

Grand Theft Auto V's release date is September 17th and will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3. There are two special editions available for pre-order with details on those here.
