Avalanche Studios and Square Enix have announced that Just Cause 4 DLC pack Dare Devils of Destruction will arrive on April 30. Players who purchased the Gold Edition however, will be able to download it seven days early.
Dare Devils of Destruction is the first of DLC add-on packs included with the Dare Devils, Demons and Danger Expansion Pass. The DLC pack adds 15 new missions for players to rampage through. The missions come in three distinct types: Survival, Run, and Rampage.
Survival missions require the player to drive their vehicles through an obstacle course. Hazards include landmines, wrecking balls, and rings of fire.
Run, on the other hand, has players drive through extreme weather. Players need to master high speed stunts, and also obliterate their rivals to cross the finish line.
Finally, Rampage has players fighting inside an explosive arena. Here, they will have to take out their rivals while competing for the highest score.
Completing these new missions lets players unlock one of 16 all-new weaponized vehicles. Once earned, players will be able to drop these in at a moments notice.
Launched last December, Just Cause 4 features series protagonist Rico Rodriguez infiltrating the country of Solis. Here he hopes to discover the secrets of a device, created in part by his father, that can control the weather. As part of this, Avalanche Studios added a new dynamic weather system into the game, allowing for some extreme weather effects. These include blizzards, sandstorms, tornadoes, and more. Other improvements that Avalanche made for Just Cause 4 include improved enemy AI, and a new physics-based rendering system.
After “Dare Devils of Destruction, two more Just Cause 4 DLC add-on packs are scheduled to be released as part of the game’s expansion pass. The remaining two are code named “Demons” and “Danger.” Neither Square Enix nor Avalance Studios has announced when these will be released.
