Ubisoft Demos Watch_Dogs Live On “PS4” [UPDATE: Actually A PC]

[Update]: Lethean has discovered that Ubisoft's openworld gameplay demo fo Watch_Dogs was in fact running on a PC.

During today's PlayStation Meeting 2013, Ubisoft took the stage to demo Watch_Dogs running live on PlayStation 4 hardware. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told the audience in New York that the PlayStation 4's connected environment would help lift the experience players could expect from the future-looking narrative and gameplay in Watch_Dogs.

In the demo, the player sees a petty-theft take place and then gives chase across the city. The player was able to run through buildings and activate traps, not just for his target, but also for pursuing police officers. An exploding transformer box stops the perpetrator, but the player has to use automated traffic pylons to halt a pursuing cop car.

As the pursuing forces continue to build, the player takes to a rooftop and a subway station to make his getaway.
