The Darksiders 3 Collector’s Edition, which is also called the Blades and Whip Edition, will now come with remasters of the original two Darksiders games. Both Darksiders: Warmastered Edition and Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition will be included for free.
THQ Nordic (as reported by ComicBook) stated the remasters have been enhanced and will both support native 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. Additionally, anyone who already owns the games should automatically get a free upgrade to the new versions. The enhanced re-releases initially came out on PS4 and Xbox One in 2015 and 2016 but the 4K upgrades are a new feature to coincide with the third game.
Those who have pre-ordered the Blades and Whip Edition can jump into Darksiders: Warmastered Edition right now. The improved Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition will also be out before the end of this month giving everyone a chance to dive in before Darksiders 3 releases on November 27.
The Blades and Whip Edition will also, of course, feature the Darksiders 3 game alongside two DLC packs, and for those who pre-ordered bonus in-game armor.
This pack is the most expensive digital option going for $89.99 (on sale from $99.99) on both the PlayStation and Xbox online stores compared to $79.99 for the standard edition. However, this jump in price comes over as a little more reasonable considering it’s now packaged with the two previous games alongside the other extra content.
For those wanting a bit more Darksiders in their life and are willing to pay for it, there’s still the $400 Apocalypse physical collector’s edition. This includes the Darksiders 3 steel book, four 10 inch statues of Fury, Death, War, and Vulgrim, runic amulet, wallscroll, artbook, and soundtrack.
It has not yet been confirmed if this mammoth edition will also include the remasters to get you caught up on the horsemen of the apocalypse. However, it is likely, given the price and size of the package.
