The PUBG winter map was initially announced back in June during the Microsoft Xbox E3 2018 press conference. It excited fans of the battle royale map, mainly due to how different it looks compared to previous PUBG maps like Miramar, Erangel and Sanhok. Thanks to the effort of dataminers, there’s been a PUBG snow map leak which reveals several details regarding the upcoming map.
PUBG Snow Map Leak: What is the new PUBG Winter Map?
The files retrieved from the datamine recently appeared on Reddit, featuring multiple images of the highly-anticipated PUBG winter map. The new map is supposedly named Dihor Otok, and it will be 8×8 in total size, with perhaps an actual landmass closer to that of 6×6. This means that it will be smaller than Miramar and Erangel, but larger compared to Sanhok. Take a look at the Dihor Otok map below.
That’s not all, as dataminers have also managed to squeeze out several more screenshots of game assets related to the PUBG snow map. These include new location containing a maze called DinoPark, and what looks like a large missile. Could we be seeing a Jurassic Park of sorts, filled with medieval castles and huge rockets? PUBG Snow Map Leak: PUBG Winter Map Content
The leaked files also hint at new content arriving with the PUBG winter map. The first is a filename labeled “weather_night,” which hints at a possible night mode for the battle royale game. A new game mode called Conquest might also be coming. It could work like a PUBG “capture the flag” mode of sorts. Additionally, a screenshot showcases a new explosive coming soon, in the form of C4 explosives. Last but not least, there will be a new getaway vehicle, and it’s a Beetle. Now you can relive all those Herbie movies in the new PUBG snow map.
