Tell GR: Buy, Try, Or Die? [October 2012]

The holiday season is in full effect, and our wallets are not safe. Early in the month, we have Resident Evil 6, of which Blake Peterson will have a review by release day. Let's just say he is mixed on the title.

The following week houses Dishonored, which I believe is going to be sleeper hit that has the possibility of being a Game of the Year nominee. We just received an early copy for review so you can expect the final word from me soon. XCOM: Enemy Unknown comes out at the same time and, from what I saw at PAX for about 20 minutes, has the turn-based strategery that original fans of XCOM desire. (Also: Pokemon… but do we really need to go into that?)

The middle of month is populated by Kinect titles like Harry Potter, Dragon Ball Z, Fable: The Journey, and Dance Central 3, alongside several Vita titles including Ragnarok Odyssey and the controversial multiplayer dungeon-crawler Silent Hill: Book of Memories.

But it's the last few weeks in October that we all have our eyes on, with Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Assassin's Creed III, WWE '13, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, the open-world Forza Horizon, and its racing competitor Need for Speed Most Wanted. I also have to give a shout-out to Zone of the Enders HD Collectionit's been a long time coming.
