Assassin’s Creed Origins Curse of the Pharaohs will launch on March 13th, 2018. In this second expansion, players will travel to the Thebes region to investigate an ancient curse that is sweeping the land.
Ubisoft has revealed several details (via blog post) about the upcoming Curse of the Pharaohs expansion. The story in the expansion will take place four years after the events of the main game. Players will able to explore the newly-added Thebes region, discovering historical landmarks like the temples of Karnak and Luxor. The first expansion, The Hidden Ones, is not required for players to play or understand the Curse of the Pharaohs.
Players can expect several new main quests and side quests, which will introduce new enemies and mystical boss fights. Anyone who has reached the previous level cap of 45 will be happy to learn that they can soon level up even further to level 55. Players will interact with an entirely new set of characters in the Curse of the Pharaohs expansion.
Additionally, players do not need to complete the main story of Assassin’s Creed Origins in order to play Curse of the Pharaohs. However, keep in mind that the recommended level is close to level 45. For new players or those starting a new game plus, the Curse of the Pharaohs will appear in the quest log after completing the main quest, Farewell.
Last but not least, six new achievements/trophies will be added. Players will receive the Curse of the Pharaohs expansion if they have the Season Pass or by purchasing it separately for €19.99/$19.99. Assassin’s Creed Origins is out now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. We gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 in our review.
