Dragon’s Dogma Adds Easy Mode

Capcom will be adding an easy mode for Dragon's Dogma, based on images revealed by Capcom and translated by Andriasang.

This seems an extremely late patch, though I suppose it's better late than never. The easy mode should arrive via patch on August 6 in Japan and can be found in the options menu. It's still uncertain how this will alter the gameplay specifically, but I suspect that it will merely lower the HP and attack of enemies (and stop harpies from dropping you off mountainside cliffs).

I don't think Dragon's Dogma particularly needs an easy mode since the gameplay is quite level-based, where several stints of careful grinding is usually enough to conquer an area of tough enemies. If that doesn't help, then changing tactics works wonders.

Besides, anyone playing it on easy mode won't experience the frequent reality of dying in the game. It would kind of be like going to Chinatown and not being harassed by at least one Chinese person. It's part of the experience! (I'm Chinese. I would know.)

In any case, there is no word on when and if this easy mode patch will reach American Dragon's Dogma titles.

But the real question is, will an "easy mode" make any of you play it?
