Mists of Pandaria Unveiled for World of Warcraft

Continuing coverage of Blizzcon, Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the fourth expansion for World of Warcraft called Mists of Pandaria, which features the Monk class and the Pandaren race who all must have been inspired by Jack Black.

Players will explore "the long-lost continent that has been newly rediscovered following the events of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm", all while attempting to reach the new level cap of 90 (which will likely happen in something like a week within its release). Mike Morhaim, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, explains that the Panderan race originally in Warcraft III was included because of the fans:

Players have been asking to see the pandaren in World of Warcraft since the game's launch, and we're excited to finally be able to give them a proper re-introduction to Azeroth. In addition to the new playable race and class, Mists of Pandaria contains a huge amount of new content, and we're looking forward to sharing more information about all of it at BlizzCon and beyond.

Along with new PvE scenarios, there will be dungeon "challenge" modes with five-player time trials that will earn prestige rewards for completing them. Players can battle each other using companion pets in a tactical mini-game and the talent system has been overhauled.
