A recent Amazon listing detailed a PlayStation 4 version of Darksiders II before it was pulled, and now publisher Nordic Games has confirmed the rumor to GameSpot. Darksiders II: Definitive Edition is in development for the PS4.
Nordic Games specifically stated that the "authenticity of the listing is unquestionable." The company didn't go into further details, but a Xbox One version is highly probable despite being unconfirmed.
The Amazon listing included a $40 price tag, so it appears the remaster will sell for slightly less than a full-priced game. No other information on the Definitive Edition is known at the moment.
Darksiders II: Definitive Edition is the first release in the series since Nordic Games acquired some of THQ's properties in 2013 as part of the liquidation process. I'm sure fans hope the remaster foreshadows the announcement of a sequel in the near future.
