The Lost Vikings Join Heroes of the Storm

Blizzard is currently working on the upcoming MOBA Heroes of the Storm, but that doesn't mean the company can't recognize its roots. Case in point: The Lost Vikings are making an appearance in the game.

The Lost Vikings, a 1993 platformer developed by Blizzard, features three charismatic Vikings: Baleog, Erik, and Olaf. Now those three find themselves in the world of Heroes of the Storm as specialist troops, each with their own unique traits and abilities according to a new blog post.

Baleog does splash damage to rear enemies behind the primary target, Erik moves faster and touts long range attacks, and Olaf has more health and regenerates it quicker than the other Vikings. All three characters die and respawn separately, though they can also be grouped together to use special abilities and destroy chests with ease.

The Lost Vikings play differently than other characters and start with no basic abilities, so it seems they come with a steep learning curve. Fans will likely want to take a look at the trio's hero page before jumping into action with the burly Vikings.
