PlayStation Vita Price Lowered To $199.99 In US

[Update] It appears that Amazon.com and other retailers have already begun selling the PS Vita for the new price of $199.99.

[Original] As of tomorrow, the PlayStation Vita will now retail for $199.99 in the US, and €199.99 across Europe. This news comes straight from Sony's gamescom press conference, happening now. Watch it live on GameRevolution.

The PS Vita's price, lack of software, and high cost of memory cards has held back what otherwise is an excellent gaming device. Hopefully now with the reduced price and some of the new content being announced for the Vita, such as Borderlands 2, Sony's handheld will begin to pick up some steam.

Now that it's $199.99, will you pick one up?
