Dragon Quest XI Pre-Order Bonus Guide

E3 2018: Dragon Quest XI Trailer Shows Off the English Translation at Square Enix Conference

We got one of the last looks at Dragon Quest XI before it launches on September 4 at today’s Square Enix E3 2018 press conference. This time around we got to see how the English translation is progressing, and so far we’re impressed.

It was a bright spot in an fairly underwhelming conference and showed the trademark style of Dragon Quest. The story follows a man who has had grief and tragedy follow him since birth. It’s his destiny to save the world, but that doesn’t mean the game loses any of its whimsical tone.

There will also be two special editions of the game. Dragon Quest XI: Edition of Light will come with DLC. Dragon Quest XI: Edition of Lost Time will come with a map of Erdrea, an art book, the soundtrack on CD, and a steelbook case in addition to the bonus DLC from the Edition of Light.

You can pre-order the game today worldwide starting today. The Edition of Light retails at around $60 and the Edition of Lost Time goes for $150.

Unfortunately, it still looks like the Nintendo 3DS version of the game is canceled in the West. We also got no word yet on what the status of the Nintendo Switch version is.
