The No Man’s Sky 2.05 update patch notes have been shared by developer Hello Games. Patch 2.05 is the third patch in just two days, with the developer rapidly pushing out updates to help fix crashing issues introduced by the new Beyond expansion. Wednesday’s big update added a bunch of features, and now these subsequent patches aim to help stabilize them. Update 2.05 will hit PC first, before being rolled out to PS4 and Xbox One users.

No Man’s Sky 2.05 aims to implement more fixes to help players who are currently experiencing issues with the new Beyond expansion. The patch notes list nine bullet points, which together should hopefully combine to make for a much more enjoyable experience. There are a number of fixes for crashing problems, which is one of the main complaints from users across social media and Reddit.

Before detailing the patch notes, Hello Games first reminded players that any encountered issues can be reported via Zendesk or through console crash reporting.

  • Fix for crashes occurring in the Space Anomaly
  • Fixed a number of issues causing some players to experience low framerate after visiting the Space Anomaly.
  • Fixed a rendering related crash.
  • Fixed an out of memory crash.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a crash when manipulating inventory in close proximity to a high number of players.
  • Fixed a crash affecting VR with supersampling enabled.
  • Fixed a situation where network connectivity issues could prevent players from speaking to NPCs aboard the Space Anomaly.
  • Fixed an issue where storage containers could not be accessed.
  • Fixed a crash affecting unsupported VR hardware.

This patch doesn’t mark the end of support for the new expansion, as developer Hello Games has stated that it “will continue to release patches as issues are identified and resolved. If you encounter a pesky bug, you can report it here.
