This week has seen the release of Sea of Thieves, with our writer also getting their hands on Far Cry 5, A Way Out, and more ahead of their release dates. Tell us what games you’ve been playing in the comments section below!
Jason Faulkner (Lead Editor): Started playing Far Cry 5 for review this week. It’s definitely a deviation from the standard formula Ubisoft has used for those games in the past so far. I’ve also been playing Disgaea 5 Complete for Switch, but after spending 20 minutes on a map last night and not being able to complete it because an enemy was too high for me to attack, I’m feeling a little apathetic about picking it back up tonight.
Paul Tamburro (Executive Editor): This week I’ve been playing a lot of Sea of Thieves, and I find myself enjoying it despite there not being an awful lot to do. It feels very much like a work in progress, and I can’t say that I’d be particularly enamored with it if I had paid the full entry price, but what’s there is a solid foundation for a better game in the future. Also, I’ve been sinking time into A Way Out, and you can expect my review on GR tomorrow.
Mack Ashworth (News Editor): When it works, Sea of Thieves! When it doesn’t, Fortnite!
Cody Perez (Guides Editor): I am completely immersed in the world of Skyrim once again on Switch. While I wasn’t too fond of the game in 2011 (another story for another time), that has completely changed with this portable version. I’m currently more than halfway done with building my first estate in the Falkreath area. Check back next week for an update on far I’ve progressed on it!
Alleef Ashaari (Staff Writer): I’m finally playing my way through The Witcher 3‘s Blood and Wine Expansion. It’s certainly one of the most “expansive” expansions I’ve ever played. I’ve lost track of time while crafting Grandmaster Witcher gear for Geralt and participating in knights’ tournaments. I’m prepared to spend many more hours with Geralt and I reckon my journey is far from being over.
Aimee Hart (Staff Writer): Ever since I reviewed Attack on Titan 2 it’s been difficult to put down. Koei Tecmo has really outdone themselves this time and I’m loving every second of it! I doubt that I’ll be finishing up the game anytime soon because there is just so much to do, but I don’t mind one bit. It’s time to kill some Titans!
