How to start the Pecharunt epilogue event in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Before you can start the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet epilogue DLC, you’ll need to meet some prerequisites:

  • Complete the main story in the base game.
  • Finish The Teal Mask DLC story.
  • Complete The Indigo Disk DLC story.
  • Fight a rematch with all the Gym Leaders in Paldea.
  • Complete the Academy Ace Tournament at least once.

Things you DON’T have to accomplish are:

  • Unlocking 6 and 7 Star Raids in the base game
  • Capturing the Loyal Three in The Teal Mask post-game
  • Completing the Special Coach post-game quest in Indigo Disk

Once you finish the required tasks, you can access the Scarlet & Violet epilogue. To do so:

  • Open the Poke Portal
  • Select “Mystery Gifts”
  • Then “Receive via Internet”
  • Choose the “Mythical Pecha Berry”

Now, you need to go to Kitakami and head to Mossui Town. You’ll notice a pink object when you pass by Peachy’s shop. Interact with it, and the epilogue will start.

Do I need to own the DLC to start the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet epilogue?

One thing that might be a bit confusing for some players is that you can receive the Mythical Pecha Berry Mystery Gift in Scarlet & Violet, even if you don’t own the DLC. However, you will only be able to do something with it if you buy The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero and complete the tasks we noted above.

So, yes, you must own the DLC to experience the epilogue in Scarlet & Violet.
