Microsoft Now Officially Owns Minecraft Dev Mojang

Microsoft's acquisition of Mojang is now complete.

In case you've been living under a rock these past few months, the Big M announced that it would be shelling out a whopping $2.5 billion for developer Mojang, the studio behind the insanely popular world-building game Minecraft.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer made the announcement on Twitter:

Do you think we'll see a proper Minecraft 2 now that Microsoft owns the company? If one thing's for sure, the Big M will undoubtedly merchandise the heck out of Mojang's super profitable IP.
