The Baldur’s Gate 3 roadmap for August 2023 has been revealed by developer Larian Studios. Swen Vincke, the CEO and founder of the studio, posted a tweet on his official account about what is in store for the rest of the month and the year. He assures that the team is looking at fan suggestions and criticism carefully. Here’s a sneak peek into what the developer is planning as part of the BG3 roadmap for the remainder of 2023.
Baldur’s Gate 3 roadmap schedule for August 2023
The following is the BG3 roadmap as indicated by Vincke:
- Hotfix 4
- Patch 1 – This will include over 1000 fixes and tweaks.
- Patch 2 – This will “incorporate some requests” as noted from fans.
In the rest of the tweet, Vincke shares that Larian Studios is encouraged by all of the great feedback. Its current focus in game’s launch month is to fix any bug reports and glitches, but they are listening to any suggestions fans have to improve the gameplay, just as they did during the game’s Early Access period.
Since launch, Baldur’s Gate 3 has been updated with several hotfixes, with Hotfix 1 taking care of a nasty glitch that prevented players from saving and loading properly. The developer had to disable cloud saves as a result, but this feature might return in later patches. Meanwhile, Hotfix 2 fixed many issues with gameplay, UI stability, and crashes that can happen during mid-dialogue.
From what we’ve covered so far in other guides, there is a bug with non-lethal attacks where toggling this passive ability on sometimes doesn’t work well. Knocking out certain characters will still register in the game as killing them, which can mean breaking the tenets of a paladin’s oath. There’s also several persistent glitches involving map markers, including one that deals with the Hidden Goblin Stash in Act 1 and House With Flowers in Act 2.
