Minecraft developer Mojang is bringing its hit world-building game to Microsoft's line of smartphones.
That's right, folks! Minecraft: Pocket Edition is currently in development for Windows Phone and is set to launch in the relatively near future. Mojang's Jens Bergensten made the news official on Twitter, saying, "Yes, Minecraft: Pocket Edition *is* coming to the Windows Phone! The port runs already, but there's still much to do before any release."
This announcement comes hot off the heels of Microsoft's big purchase, in which it acquired the aforementioned studio as well as its coveted IP for the sum of $2.5 billion. I guess it was only a matter of time before Mojang inevitably brought its game to the Big M's line of smartphones.
