Zelda and Ganondorf Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo Reportedly Leaked Through Datamined Files

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may be getting more Nintendo amiibo, as dataminers have found references to Ganondorf and Princess Zelda within the game’s files. Nintendo has not announced any other Tears of the Kingdom amiibo aside from the Link figure that was released last month.

Zelda and Ganondorf Tears of the Kingdom amiibo linked to in-game content

A total of 26 Zelda amiibo can be used to unlock in-game content within The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but two of the paraglider fabrics are unobtainable at the moment. YouTuber Lootward (as spotted by Universo Zelda) has discovered that the Princess Zelda and Gerudo King fabrics are linked to two unreleased and unannounced amiibo with the IDs 1049 and 1050. As the Link Tears of the Kingdom amiibo has the ID 1048, many players believe these IDs are from Zelda and Ganondorf ToTK amiibo.

Nintendo has yet to announce any more additional Tears of the Kingdom amiibo aside from the aforementioned Link one. Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are also getting two upcoming amiibo, but given how non-Zelda amiibo don’t unlock anything, it’s more likely that there are more unannounced Zelda amiibo on the way. And given how Ganon is a Gerudo and Princess Zelda’s name is the title of the second fabric, those two characters are very likely the two mystery amiibo. Nintendo has also set a precedent for this since some Skyward Sword and Marjora’s Mask items within Breath of the Wild could not be unlocked until their corresponding amiibo became available.

Zelda amiibo can be used in-game to unlock items like paraglider fabrics, clothing, weapons, ingredients, steeds, fish, barrels, and crates. Non-Zelda amiibo can be used in Tears of the Kingdom to get random materials and ingredients, too. Unfortunately, each amiibo can only be used once per day to unlock a reward, therefore it can take quite a while to unlock all of the unique items. However, there is a workaround that lets players use their amiibo more than once per day.
