Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Duplication Glitch 1-1-2

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Duplication Glitch 1.1.2: Is There a New Way to Dupe After the Patch?

If you’re looking for a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom duplication glitch for patch 1.1.2, we’ve got one. Nintendo patched out the dupe glitches that most players were using in the latest update. However, there’s one that it missed. Unfortunately, this one requires you to progress through the game a bit and requires a bit of finesse. However, it allows you to make a copy of almost any item in the game, which makes the trouble worth it.

How to duplicate items in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom 1.1.2

You can dupe items in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom 1.1.2 by using the display rooms in your house in Tarrey Town. Before you can do this, you’ll need to visit Tarrey Town and complete the Mattison’s Independence quest, which you can start by speaking to Rhondson at Hudson Construction. After finishing it, talk to Rhondson again, and she’ll let you buy some nearby land for 1,500 rupees.

Once the house is unlocked, you need to buy three rooms to get the most out of this dupe glitch:

  • Bow Stand Room
  • Shield Stand Room
  • Weapon Stand Room

Each room costs 600 rupees each, which means you’ll need 1,800 rupees to get all three.

To perform the duplication glitch in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom 1.1.2, you need to place a Zonai Shock Emitter next to a display stand and activate it. The objective here is to place an item at the precise moment Link gets shocked. If performed correctly, the glitch will cause the item to be displayed and thrown from Link’s hands simultaneously. So, you end up with two copies of the original item. It’s a bit tricky to perform this glitch, and you’ll want to walk toward the display at an angle instead of walking straight toward it.

You can also use this glitch to duplicate materials. Fuse the material you want to copy onto a shield or weapon, then perform the dupe glitch. You’ll get a second copy with the material fused to it. Then, you can just head over to Tarrey Town and have it unfused for a fee. It’s less convenient than the dupe glitches that were patched out in TotK 1.1.2, but it works!
