Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Wind Waker outfit Hero of Wind set

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Wind Waker Outfit: How to Get the Hero of Wind Set

The Wind Waker outfit is available in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Like in Breath of the Wild, you can acquire the Hero of Wind set but can’t pick it up in-game. Instead, like the other Hero sets, you’ll need to unlock it via external means.

How to get the Wind Waker outfit in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Link’s outfit from Wind Waker, the Hero of Wind set, is available in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Unfortunately, you’ll still need an amiibo to unlock it, like you did in the last game.

You can use two amiibo to unlock the Hero of Wind set:

  • SSB Toon Link
  • Wind Waker Toon Link

If you scan one of these amiibo, you’ll get ar 10-20% chance of unlocking one of these three items that make up the Hero of Wind set:

  • Cap of Wind
  • Tunic of Wind
  • Trousers of Wind

Like with the other Hero sets, each of these starts with a defense stat of three (for a total of nine). However, they can be upgraded to a max of 20 if you find all the Great Fairies.

Plan for it to take a while to get the whole Wind Waker outfit set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Each amiibo can be scanned only once every 24 hours, so it can take days for you to get all three pieces. Fortunately, there is a way around this, but it’s a bit of a pain.
