And let us rejoice, for the Xbox One controller is finally compatible with official drivers from Microsoft! Major Nelson has released early access versions for the PC drivers for the Xbox One controller on both x64 and x86 Windows versions, available on his blog now.
These PC drivers will allow players to use the controller for any game that can already support the Xbox 360 controller. Just connect the micro USB cable for the Xbox One controller to the PC and you should be good to go.
Since I use the Xbox 360 controller for multiple games on PC, this is exciting news for me since the Xbox One controller is a much better designed piece of hardware. The analog sticks and directional pad alone are enough to make me switch.
