Banjo Kazooie Successor Killed Before It Could Jiggy

Ooka Poka!

Grant Kirkhope, composer for Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64, revealed this week in an AMA on Reddit that the would-be spiritual successor to the original Banjo-Kazooie never got off the floor for a specific reason:

The other guys actually had a secret meeting in a pub near Rare and we even got as far as having a character drawn up and a demo level type thing but it all fell to bits …. everyone's got other jobs etc.

The reaction to that news range from "sobs" to "really, really sad" and "terrible." Back in 2012, the secret group was going to be called Mingy Jongo and it still has 16,000+ followers on Twitter, but life got in the way.

So if I've learned anything from this article, it's the one thing we need to turn this dream into a reality: Destroy all the jobs!
