Daylight Delayed to Achieve “Maximum” Scariness

The upcoming PC and PS4 horror game from developer Zombie Studios has been delayed. Instead of launching this coming Tuesday, Daylight will now release later in the month, on April 29th.

With regard to why gamers will have to wait a little longer, Atlus explained that the development team needs a bit more time to get the horror just right. "The way Daylight is developed is completely different because of its procedural generation. In a lot of ways it really helped the team by streamlining the environment creation, but it's taken extra time to make sure all the scare cues are properly implemented for maximum player effect."

To make up for the delay, Atlus has announced that the game will be discounted for a limited time. For the first two weeks following its launch, Daylight will be priced at $9.99 for PlayStation Plus members and $11.99 for the rest of PS4 owners. Those who pre-order the game on PC will get the game for $9.99. After that, it'll jump back up to its original asking price of $14.99.

Stay tuned for more on Daylight as we near its release. In the meantime, read our preview here.
