Microsoft Not Planning to Bring More Halo Games to Steam

Despite the fact that Microsoft is bringing 343i's top-down twin-stick shooter Halo: Spartan Assault to Steam on April 4th, the company has no intention of supporting Valve's PC platform with more of the Master Chief—at least not right now.

"We have no further 'Halo' releases on Steam planned at this time," a representative from the Big M told GameSpot. Please note that the statement was careful to include "at this time" at the conclusion, not ruling out the possibility of more Halo on Steam in the future.

The Master Chief is no alien to the PC platform, as both Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 were made available for Windows users. Of course, Steam is a whole other beast, and releasing a game like Halo 3 or Halo 4 may undermine Microsoft's desire to sell Xbox consoles.
