A FIFA 23 Xbox error is popping up for players, reading: “In order to access the online features for this title you must be signed in to Xbox Network and you must be signed in to the EA servers. See ea.com/unable-to-connect.”
Even though players are supposed to have access to its online features due to them being EA Play subscribers, the error message is preventing them from progressing any further. While EA has yet to comment on this Xbox error, some players have found workarounds.
FIFA 23 Xbox not working fix
Firstly, some players have reported that closing the game and then opening it has worked for them. Another has reported via Twitter that they managed to resolve the issue by taking the following steps:
- Go to FIFA 23 in your library and press Start
- Select ‘Manage Games and Add-ons’
- Select folder ‘Saved items’ and delete what’s inside
- Relaunch the game
By deleting the save files associated with their FIFA 23 profile and then relaunching the game, some players have claimed that the above method has managed to fix the error and let them continue playing FIFA 23 on Xbox. EA Support has yet to comment on this annoying issue, though hopefully it will rectified with an official fix sooner rather than later.
