Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure has launched on PC via Steam Early Access, allowing eager players the chance to explore, gather resources, craft tools and gear, build their bases, and farm the land, in addition to fighting enemies and making friends with magical creatures. Developer Snowcastle Games has stated that console support is planned for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. However, there isn’t yet a confirmed release date for any of these systems.
At the time of writing, Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure is only available on PC through Steam Early Access.
The game’s Early Access roadmap provides an overview of the short-term goals. For the summer and fall of this year, the developer is focusing on improving creature care, a new enemy type, more placeables, improved farming, and more. From then, the “TBA” section states that the next focus will be multiplayer.
The final line of the roadmap says “Stay tuned for exciting news!”
It’s likely that Ikonei Island will remain exclusive to PC for the Early Access period, with the creators focusing on a single platform to iron out all of the issues as it finishes pre-release development. Following the release of a 1.0 build, console players should begin to anticipate more news about a potential release date.
