Instagram black bar fix for iOS and Android

How To Fix Instagram Black Bar at Bottom on iOS and Android

When scrolling through Instagram, it can be annoying to come across bugs, glitches, and other issues that impact the user experience. Users have recently been experiencing an Instagram black bar bug when opening the app for iOS and Android. Thankfully, there is an easy fix. Here is how to fix the Instagram app black bar issues.

Instagram black bar fix for iOS and Android

To get rid of the black bar at the bottom of the Instagram app on iOS and Android, users can:

  1. Swipe away the Instagram app.
  2. Reopen the Instagram app.
  3. The black bar at the bottom of your screen should now be fixed.

Alternatively, users can do the following:

  1. Swipe away the Instagram app.
  2. Turn off your mobile phone.
  3. Turn on your mobile phone.
  4. Reopen the Instagram app.
  5. You should no longer be experiencing the black bar at the bottom of your screen.

These suggested fixes should solve the problem. Failing that, reinstalling the app is the next best option. Better yet, users can report a problem in the Help part of the settings menu. This is well worth doing for users who want to see the app improving and have fewer bugs in the future.

Though the black bar doesn’t get in the way of Instagram’s main functionality, it sure is an eyesore that ruins the otherwise clean look of the app. Happily, it’s just a bug and not a feature!

Here’s hoping a future Instagram update can fully fix the black bar issue so that users don’t have to employ workarounds to fix it.
