A new gameplay features trailer for F1 22 has been released, which includes the first in-depth footage of the franchise’s newest mode, F1 life. The trailer released by Codemasters and EA today also showcased the returning My Team mode, Formula 2, and more in the 2-minute video.
EA showcases F1 Life in new F1 22 trailer
2022’s newest addition, F1 Life, is “a customizable hub to show off their collection of supercars, clothing, and accessories, earned via gameplay.” The features trailer showcased some of the supercars players can purchase to drive or view the beauty of in the hub, including the Mclaren P1. It also shows in-depth customization for our driver, allowing players to choose clothes and accessories to wear when arriving in the paddock. All trophies obtained in Career and My Team can be placed in the trophy cabinet. Meanwhile, the hub’s interior can even be customized, from the sofa to the wallpaper.
The gameplay trailer also touched on the new handling model in F1 22, plus the introduction of the sprint races as seen in the real-life sport. A new immersive broadcast package was detailed with the new pit-stop innovations and safety car periods. Codemasters has revealed accessibility options, allowing the die-hard F1 fan to the more casual player to have an equally good time. This is done through race lengths and AI difficulty. The circuit updates to the real-life Abu Dhabi, Australia, and Spanish grand prix were also shown off in the trailer.
F1 22 is due to release on July 1 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
