Monster Hunter Rise is the latest Game Trial to be offered to Nintendo Switch Online members. Starting from tomorrow, March 11, players will have a week to explore the action RPG without any limits, and the game is available to pre-load right now for those wanting to jump straight in at the start of the trial.
When is the Monster Hunter Rise trial available?
Monster Hunter Rise will be available to Nintendo Switch Online members from 10 AM PT tomorrow, March 11. The trial will run until 11:59 PM PT on March 17. Players can already pre-load the game by heading over to the Nintendo eShop, selecting Nintendo Switch Online from the left hand menu, and selecting the Game Trial event.
The trial will allow players access to the entire game, including online co-op with fellow Game Trial participants and those who own the full game, but only during the trial period. Any progress made during the week will be transferred to the full version of the game if players decide to make a purchase afterwards. Players can purchase DLC for the game during the trial period but will be unable to use it once the trial ends unless they buy the full game.
All players will be able to make use of the game’s latest update, which arrived today. Patch: Ver.3.9.1 has added new event quests with more coming each week, as well as new DLC in the eShop. It also “fixed a bug where there was no defense bonus for the Switch Axe Defender weapon”, sorted out several text bugs, and dealt with other unspecified bugs.
In other news, action-RPG Valkyrie Elysium was one of the new titles to be unveiled during PlayStation’s State of Play show. The latest installment in the Valkyrie franchise will be exclusive to PS5 and PS4 when it’s released later this year.
