Pokemon Legends Arceus Satchel Upgrades: How to expand inventory space

In Pokemon Legends Arceus, inventory space is finite. Unlike previous games, which had a bottomless backpack, players only have a certain amount of item slots. Any items that go over this amount will either go to the player’s storage box at home or can’t be picked up at all. Fortunately, there are satchel upgrades in Pokemon Legends Arceus that allow players to expand their inventory space.

How to increase inventory space in Pokemon Legends Arceus with satchel upgrades

Pokemon Legends Arceus Increase Inventory space satchel upgrade

There is an NPC named Bagin in the Galaxy HQ lobby in Pokemon Legends Arceus that will give players satchel upgrades for a price. Each upgrade increases a player’s inventory space by one.

Players will meet Bagin as part of the story early on, and from then on, he can be visited to purchase satchel upgrades. Players need to wait until they’re assigned the quest to quell the raging noble Pokemon Kleavor. As they’re leaving the Galaxy HQ, Bagin will approach the player and offer to teach them the art of packing their bag. The hard part of all this is affording them. These inventory increases start at a very affordable 100, but quickly grow in price. Altogether, all 37 levels of satchel upgrades cost 4,199,500.

Of course, players shouldn’t feel like they need to unlock every single inventory slot. While the initial 20 spaces are constricting, inventory management becomes a lot less annoying once the next 15 or so are obtained. Of course, completionists might want to go for every single slot, but it’s not really necessary.

There are a ton of items in Pokemon Legends Arceus that are dedicated to crafting, but players who don’t want to drop the money for extra inventory spaces can just be a bit more frugal about what they take with them. Those who do their crafting in town and leave the items they don’t need behind should have plenty of space to pick things up while they’re exploring, even with just a few satchel upgrades.
