Is it possible to open Fortnite Chapter 3 Vaults solo without any other players? The exciting new Chapter 3 Season 1 of Fortnite has finally begun, along with a brand new island map and a ton of new quests for players to complete. One of the new main Season quests players have to complete requires them to open a Vault but this requires two players to do. Can players open Fortnite Vaults solo with a single player?
How to open Fortnite Chapter 3 Vaults solo
To open any of the Vaults in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 solo without any other players:
- Find a chicken then pick up and carry it to the Vault door. For some reason, it counts as a second player so the door will open. Chickens can be found all over the map but particularly gather in the snowy areas in the center of the map or directly west of Greasy Grove. There are Vaults just south of the central lake or southwest of Greasy Grove.
- Down one of the Vault’s guards and carry them to the door. They are usually allies, so be warned that any other friendly NPCs in the area will attack the player if they attempt this, and if all NPCs are downed then they will disappear — so defeat one guard without killing them then quickly pick them up and take them to the Vault before the other guards can respond.
The chicken method was discovered by users @HeyStani and @MidaRado on Twitter and repeated by popular Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR.
It also works with the seven sentries that guard the vault. Just down one and carry them to the door.
