The Nintendo Switch Online “your connection is unstable so the audio may be interrupted” error is hitting a lot of players right now, as the new Switch Online Expansion Pass has been added today — bringing with it the much-requested Nintendo Switch Online Nintendo 64 games. The likes of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, Starfox 64, and Super Mario 64 are all playable with online play, but players are hitting Nintendo Switch Online “connection unstable” errors. Is there a fix?
How to fix Nintendo Switch Online “Your connection is unstable” error
The only fix for the “your connection is unstable” error message is to have patience and try again later, as the problem is likely only on Nintendo’s server side. As the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass launched today it seems everyone who signed up for the service are trying the Nintendo 64 games right now, so it is likely that Nintendo’s servers are overloaded.
Many players sharing their experiences with the new Switch Online Nintendo 64 games, specifically with attempting to play titles like Mario Kart 64 online, are encountering the error and are not pleased. However, it doesn’t appear to be on the player’s side since it is present in the vast majority of shared videos — just scroll down #NintendoSwitchOnline on Twitter and it’ll probably pop up a lot. The only solution, then, is to wait — either for Nintendo to fix it or for fewer people to be using the servers.
