Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2021 start date and time

The Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2021 edition should be here very soon. It is Destiny’s annual Halloween limited-time event, complete with spooky new quests, items, and enemies to fight off. Festival of the Lost usually takes place between October and November, running for around two or three weeks. Now we’re in October, the event is edging ever closer. Fear not, as we take a look at the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2021 start date and time.

When is the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2021 start date and time?

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost

The Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2021 start date is October 12 with a start time of 9 AM PT/12 PM EST/6 PM BST.

This is based on the announcement below:

While it’s possible that the above patch is for a different content drop, the timing lines up with the traditional Festival of the Lost schedule. Therefore, it’s technically not confirmed but highly likely that the Festival of the Lost 2021 will start on October 12.

Last year’s Festival of the Lost kicked off on October 6, while in 2019, it started on October 29. As such, the start date can be very unpredictable. Based on previous years, the event kicks off by the middle of the month, on average.

That means whatever day the event does start, these are the times you’ll need to look out for it. We also don’t currently know what the event will involve, and what freebies Bungie will introduce. The preliminary roadmap for the event mentions new Legendary weapon quests, the return of Trials of Osiris, and more. The recent crossplay mechanic will allow you to partake in the new raids and quests with friends across platforms — wearing the new items that’ll drop in the event, too.

In other news, our Far Cry 6 review is out now. We also break down the game’s ending.
