Are Halo Infinite long loading times normal or are they the result of a crash? The latest Halo Infinite beta flight test is finally out and is now with many Halo Insiders, and it focuses entirely on PvP team-based multiplayer. However, as it’s only an early beta players have reported numerous problems with the test, including incredibly long Halo Infinite beta load times — to the point where it seems like something’s gone wrong. Is there a Halo Infinite load times crash, freeze, or stalling?
Are Halo Infinite long loading times normal?
The extremely long loading times in Halo Infinite are the result of the technical flight test being an extremely unoptimized and early version of the latest Halo game and are of no cause for alarm. The Halo Infinite beta can seem to hang, particularly when first opening the game, for anything up to a minute on a black screen — although the loading symbol continues to move. Simply wait it out and the Halo Infinite beta will eventually load. If the symbol stops moving, then the game has crashed, but otherwise it’s just a matter of being patient.
Long loading times are certainly nothing to be concerned about, and they’re definitely not the worst problem affecting the Halo Infinite flight test right now. Many players are getting a “your account is not authorized to play” error message that stops them from accessing the game, although luckily there is a simple fix to correct the problem — even if it does involve staring at more loading times, unfortunately.
The latest Halo Infinite flight test is running this weekend and the next too and is based entirely around PvP multiplayer, so hopefully everyone will get in to play it successfully. There should be another beta before release that may even offer a taste of the single-player campaign next time.
