Death's Door Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4 release date

Is there a Death’s Door Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4 release date?

Death’s Door is a Zelda-like action game that’s currently garnering higher review scores than the most recent Zelda title! Since the game is only available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC right now a lot of players are wondering if ports could be inbound. So, are Death’s Door Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4 versions coming out? Here’s the latest on additional platform release dates.

Death's Door Nintendo Switch

Death’s Door launched for PC and Xbox on July 20, 2021. There’s currently no Death’s Door Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite release date scheduled to follow.

Neither developer Acid Nerve nor publisher Devolver Digital has made any mention of a potential Death’s Door Nintendo Switch port. The game is a perfect fit for the platform, however, so there’s no ruling out a Death’s Door Switch version somewhere down the line. It could be a slow process, though — Acid Nerve is a two-person studio, and porting isn’t as easy as it might seem.

Xbox and PC users can play Death’s Door right now, following its July 20, 2021 release date. Unfortunately for PlayStation fans, there have been no announcements regarding potential Death’s Door PS5 and PS4 versions.

Death’s Door is receiving great reviews, so there’ll be an audience for the game on PS5 and PS4 should it receive a port. Acid Nerve and Devolver Digital are no strangers to developing for PlayStation platforms; assuming that there’s no existing exclusivity deal to prevent it, there seems to be a good chance that a Death’s Door PlayStation version could happen.

In other news, US Nintendo fans are angry with the Japanese company over its July Switch Online games. Sticking with that theme, the creator of Dogecoin recently called out Soulja Boy. A celebrity TikToker is calling out Apex Legends, too.
