Now that this season’s last episode has aired, fans are ready to learn the Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 release date. Those eager to see what comes next in the story may have a bit of a wait, but Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is almost assuredly on its way.
When will the Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 release date be?
The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen ran for 2-cour, totaling 24 episodes. The series premiered on October 3, 2020, and ran until March 27, 2021. This gives us an idea of when the release date for season 2 will be. More than likely, it will premiere during the Fall 2021 season around the beginning of October. It’s a top-rated series, and there’s still plenty of source material from the manga, so it’s likely that there won’t be a major hiatus between seasons.
However, there is a prequel volume of the manga that may lead to us seeing more Jujutsu Kaisen even sooner. The Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School saga would make for a good OVA or movie, and it’s possible it might release between season one and two. Alternatively, it could start season two off.
When will the Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 English dub release?
If we go by Crunchyroll’s current schedule, the dub has been around a month-and-a-half behind the Japanese release. So, if season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen premieres in early October 2021, we likely won’t see the dub until later November-early December 2021.
However, given the fact that Jujutsu Kaisen is a massive hit, Crunchyroll might prioritize dubbing it. It’s also possible that we could get a simuldub, with the English version coming only a day or two after the Japanese premiere.
